About

Hafiz, the Sufi poet, shared this with us:  “I am a hole in a flute that the Christ’s breath flows through, listen to the beautiful music.”  I am not the breath, not the flute but another hole in the flute…I hope the music is of some use to you.   Two years ago, my girlfriend at the time and I let go of our good government jobs, most of our belongings and all of our debt with the idea of getting out of our own way and putting ourselves in a situation where the creative powers of the universe could begin to flow freely through us..if they were so inclined!  Being of limited means and not of retirement age, we became property caretakers.  We have had some amazing experiences, made some wonderful new friends and seen a lot of incredible country, but it’s taken me every moment of the last two years and all the experiences I’ve had, including the divergence of our individual paths,  to really open up and let go of my need to try and control my life and everything in it.  I am back in sunny Florida with no job and no clear reason yet for being here, but I am finally feeling the creative flow coming through me and recognizing it everywhere I look!  I am ecstatic to be riding the wave!…even tho I haven’t the foggiest notion as to where it might be taking me!  I invite you to jump on and enjoy the ride!  There is a whole new earth to create…it’s happening all around us whether we’re on board or not…or even aware of it.  I’m excited to be here now witnessing it and maybe being a small part of the process!  Jus’ dance!  Larry

Very nice. Thank you for letting us inside your head!

  3. Having recently lost my job of 18 years I know I have a new opportunity awaiting me, your life style is very encouraging to me.

    • I have read that all we ever have is opportunities…even those changes that tear our hearts up and make us feel like we’re in rough seas in a tiny raft are ultimately opportunities for growth. Sometimes I think I am just lazy and don’t want to work anymore, but in my heart I know this is my work for the moment, and that the most beneficial thing for us to engage in is what you do…serve and love others. We are all students and we are all teachers. I appreciate the lessons you share!
